Company Description Fortune 500 Manufacturing Company Job Description Primary responsibilities include; Responsible for accurate month end close relating to inventory and cost of goods sold for US and Canadian manufacturing companies and Retail company owned stores. Preparation/review of various inventory and gross profit analysis reports. Preparation of LIFO calculations and related analysis. Preparation/review of monthly closing journal entries and account analysis for inventory and cost of sales. Review perpetual inventory reports and general ledger account activity for accuracy. Responsible for the accurate valuation of physical inventories Preparation and review of weighted average product costs and intercompany transfer prices. Update missing transfer prices as needed. Present analyses to management team. Work closely with Supply Chain, Accounting, and Planning. Preparation of required inventory schedules for quarterly and yearly financial reporting to parent company. Liaise with internal and external auditors regarding costing and valuing inventory Recommend and implement process improvements Ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed. Assist with auditing Retail physical inventories. Qualifications Required Skills 4-6 years’ experience in Cost Accounting Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. CPA, CMA or MBA a plus Possess strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and technology skills. Proficient in Excel (VLookups, Pivot tables, etc.)Possess strong managerial skills. Ability to manage projects as needed Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes, BOM’s, etc. Additional Information $50K to $65K plus bonus Please email kzalfino@clarkdavis.com
